How an inspection works

• We fly a drone over the roof and photograph every slope, including the ones you can't see from the yard.
• Where it's safe, we check up close: shingles, flashing, vent boots, valleys, and gutters.
• We look at attic ventilation, because heat and moisture trapped in the attic shorten a roof's life.
• You see the photos, and if work is needed you get a written estimate with no obligation.

Why a drone

A drone gets clear, close photos of steep slopes, high ridges, and fragile shingles without anyone walking on them. Walking a brittle or hail-damaged roof can crack shingles that were fine. The photos also give you and your insurance company a record of the roof's condition on that date.

When to get one

• After hail or a strong wind storm, even if nothing is leaking
• When you spot a ceiling stain, missing shingles, or granules in the gutters
• When your roof is getting older and you want to plan for replacement instead of being surprised by it
• Before you file an insurance claim, so you know what damage is there

Attic ventilation

A hot attic works against your roof and your air conditioner. Good ventilation brings outside air in low, usually through soffit vents, and lets hot, moist air out high, through ridge or turbine vents. When that flow is blocked or there aren't enough vents, heat builds up under the decking in summer and moisture can collect in winter.
